| Little Mountain... was a 145-acre family farm in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains near Maryville, Tennessee. Mostly second growth forest, Little Mountain exhibits a tremendous variety of flora and fauna, and its hollows and ridges are rich with wildlife. Only 36 home sites were created and are clustered in small communities to reduce the impact of roads and utilities. Paved roads and underground utilities (including city water) separate this mountain development from any others. Nature trails through the 100 acre common areas and the stocked lake allow home owners to enjoy nature at their convenience. The Vision... Too special to be developed without regard to the songbirds and wildflowers, Little Mountain is designed to nestle approximately three dozen home sites around the woodlands, which will be left undisturbed and held in common trust by all of the property owners. Little Mountain is a place to call home. You can walk to a neighbor's house for dinner, to the garden, or to the lake for fishing. Or take a solitary hike through the 100-acre woods, safe and secure. The original home place on the farm has been restored as a guest house for family and friends of Little Mountain residents. The beautiful community butterfly garden and orchard can provide ample produce for everyone. It is a community where friends and neighbors share in their experiences. Our vision is to provide all of the amenities expected in a quality development, while respecting the natural balance of plants and wildlife that were here before us. The number of home sites is limited - and forever will be. |
